This darling turtle quilt will teach you two new techniques. C an be made as either a wall hanging or a lap quilt. With the wall hanging, you will get a machine applique lesson and with the lap quilt, both a machine applique and paper piecing lesson.

Learn to Hand Applique

Students will learn how to make applique templates and how to apply the templates to their fabric to create pattern pieces. Students will also create a position overlaying using one of two techniques demonstrated. Hand applique will be taught using horizontal stitch method which will include making nice points and round curves. When completed, students will have a small wall hanging or candle mat to show off their handy work.
